In previous editions of D&D and in many books there are fantastic kinds of wood. You can work with the DM and ask what kinds of magical plants he has and which ones would be able to accept Awaken. But I'd be willing to wait and search out another creature that would benefit me more. So That may just be my choice because they are right there. What would be the best beast or Plant to use that wouldn't die easily?
